Grant Retired as a Lieutenant Colonel (Military Police [5803]/Provost Marshal) from the United States Marine Corps in 2008 with twenty-two years of dedicated and loyal service to his country. A decorated officer and combat veteran, after retirement from the military, Grant proudly entered Federal Civil Service, continuing his years of devoted work in law enforcement, and was the Executive Director of the Marine Corp Civilian Police Academy at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri at the time of his death, after devoting over ten years in the same Executive Director position at the Marine Corps Civilian Police Program at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, California.
Grant is predeceased by his beloved father, Philip, of Hawaii and grandmother, V.G., of Balboa, California and is survived by two adult children, Lauren of Virginia and Lindsay of Oregon. He also leaves behind his (twin) brother, Greg (Mia), of Hawaii, an uncle, Larry, of Nevada and several nieces and nephews all of whom loved him dearly.
